I remember being psyched like, months in advance to watch the VMAs because there used to be so many awesome performances and surprises to look forward to on the show. It seems like the past few years, it just keep sucking more and more. This year's was probably the worst and most boring I've ever seen, and from the sound of things, I'm not alone in thinking this.

Britney and Jonah's opening was pretty funny. It seems like stuff went downhill after that. I didn't find Russel Brand that funny. They need to have an awesome comedian host it for once. I vote Dane Cook for next year, but that's just me.

I'm a Britney fan and all, don't get me wrong - I'm happy she was back and she looks great, but I couldn't help but think it was rigged for her to win all 3 awards she was nominated for. Maybe she didn't want to come back after what happened last year and they promised her moon men if she did!

I was really glad to see Slash, and happy that Linkin Park won for best rock video. lmao @ Joe telling Shia LaBeouf that "Transformers rocked!"

Paris Hilton: gag me. She looked like she didn't even know what she was doing there. I don't know if she really is that dumb or it's all just an act, but I wouldn't be able to stand being around her for 5 minutes. I don't know how anyone will survive being on that new show she's got coming out.

I'm pretty sick of hearing about The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, because they're just everywhere. But I guess it's exactly how it was back in the day when we were all into BSB and NSYNC lol but you know, at least those guys were actually good live.

It's bad enough when rappers let their baggy pants hang off their asses. But it's even worse when they do it with skin-tight pants! Who was that anyway, with the red pants - Lil Wayne or something? Wtf was that?! That offended me LOL. Huge fashion no-no.

Pink's performance was the only one I enjoyed. Always like her music and her performances always have something crazy in them.

I think that's all for my rambling. It's so not the VMAs to me without at least one band that I like on there. Hopefully Metallica's new album will slay everyone this year and there will actually be someone good there next year! I'm already calling it, best rock vid next year goes to them.
