My Undying Love for Good CharlotteI have been a Good Charlotte fan for years. Since before they had their huge breakout success with "Lifestyles" and before people were like "omgz it's GC!!!" After seeing them live 5 times, I finally got to meet them last year the 6th time I saw them and they were all such sweethearts, it made me so happy knowing that the band I've stuck behind for so long no matter what were actually really nice guys and worth every minute I spend working on my fansite for them (getdownwithgc.com). Paul even wrote to me to let me know he thought the site was kickass (yay!) So why am I babbling on about this? Because I was upset with them over the fact that they toured with Justin Timberlake and the tickets were $150 and they were only getting to play for 20 minutes to open for him. Plus the fact that I couldn't go anyway, since the tickets were already almost sold out when they found out that GC were added to the tour and I refused to see them from nosebleed seats when I always see them front row for $20-$35. No way. And it upset me that I was upset with them. It made me angry, sure. Most fans were upset over it. But I got over it, knowing that they did what they had to do. Record sales for GMR weren't as good as with their previous albums, and they needed the support so that they can do a headlining tour again. I get it guys, I understand, just never worry me like that again! lol Over the past few weeks I've been putting together some dvds of all their tv appearances and stuff for a friend that lost all her GC stuff. And it made me realize that sure they've changed, but it doesn't affect their music and why I started loving them in the first place. After how far they came from being nobodies to blowing up the radio stations, I remember being so happy for them the night they won the Viewer's Choice Award on the VMAs in 2003, I almost cried. Especially when they made it a point to thank their fans and recognize the fact that without us, they wouldn't be who they are. I was so proud of them that night. And that's one thing that's never changed - they are still completely loyal to their fans and make it a point to show their love for us as much as we show our love for them. The fact that Joel dated Hilary Duff and then got Nicole Ritchie pregnant, or the fact that Benji is engaged to the "Barbie Doll" type of chick that he always used to make fun of - none of that should matter to a true GC fan. It's about the music and that shouldn't interfere with your love for the band. It's their personal lives, it shouldn't concern anyone but them! They were on the Tyra Banks Show today talking about babies and marriage and all that - and even though they've grown up and things have changed, they're still one of my favorite bands. And they still make me laugh. (Example: they were washing a fan's hair and had these 2 water pitchers on a table. Benji picked them up and goes "I really like these jugs!") LMAO I love their cornyness. I guess the whole point to this post is that the guys have been a huge part of my life and will continue to be. Without them, I never would have gotten into some of my other favorite bands, like New Found Glory and Mest, because they were always promoting them and saying "hey go listen to our friends' bands, they're awesome!" I love Good Charlotte, no matter how many people give me shit about it. I'm a fan for life!

Why didn't I hear about this, ahaha.
$150. That IS insane.
I'd so want to see Justin Timberlake though ahaha.
Yeah! To that Sophie Monk chick that was in Date Movie. Weird, but they seem happy so I guess that's all that matters lol
